If you’ve got questions about waxing, don’t worry we’ve got the answers you need! The following FAQs will answer any question you have regarding pre-waxing and post-waxing care, our services and hair removal, all in one place.

Will My Hair Grow Back Thicker or Darker?

Your hair won’t grow back thicker and darker after waxing, just the opposite! Hair that is removed at the root grows back softer and finer over time.

Why Should I Wax VS. Shaving, Electrolysis, or Laser?

When waxed consistently, hair grows back slower, finer and sparser. Shaving cuts your hair, it doesn’t remove your hair—so the quantity and thickness remain the same. Electrolysis and laser hair removal don’t work for everyone, which makes waxing a fabulous universal alternative. Those treatments are also very expensive, which makes waxing a great option that’s far easier on your bank account.

Does waxing hurt?

Because hairs are removed along with their roots, the treatment isn’t completely painless – or at least, not the first time. Over time, the hairs get finer, so removing them with warm wax causes less and less pain. Most of our customers say, by the way, that waxing is easy to handle. Men in particular are usually quite relieved after their first time, because it hurts far less than they had thought.

How long does the waxing result last?

That depends on the hair removal method you’ve been using till now. It can last up to a month. Ultimately, however, your rate of hair growth is the determining factor.

Does my hair change as a result of being removed with wax?

When waxing is done right, hairs are removed down to their roots. The hair that grows back is usually finer and sparser, and over time the hair density declines in areas that are regularly treated with warm wax.

Can waxing cause any adverse skin reactions?

Right after waxing, small red dots can appear on treated skin areas. They usually disappear within a few hours, however. It’s a very normal reaction of the skin, as the hair is removed down to the roots, which briefly widens the pores and follicles. But the more often you get hair removed with warm wax, the finer and sparser it gets. That in turn makes the red dots smaller and the overall pore structure clears up. The skin keeps getting smoother and lovelier.

What causes ingrown hairs, and what can I do about them?

Excess accumulation of dead flakes of skin can plug a hair follicle. Then the growing hair can’t penetrate the outer dermal layer and instead curls back or grows sideways into the skin. The best way to prevent ingrown hairs is to regularly get a body peel (exfoliation) and/or scrub yourself with a Luffa bath sponge. Exfoliation removes dead flakes of skin, opens plugged pores and stimulates circulation. You should also avoid excess use of lipid-containing body creams and lotions.

Can pregnant women get waxed?

Of course they can. There are no practical problems at all. And when you’re pregnant, it’s especially important for you to feel good in and on your skin.

Can I skip hair removal in the winter?

Certainly you can. But it isn’t a good idea. Firstly because only regular waxing makes your body hair keep getting finer and sparser. And secondly because it’s just as nice and worthwhile to feel totally good in your silky-smooth skin in the wintertime. It could be in the sauna, while exercising, when wearing that sexy little black skirt at parties, while enjoying intimate moments with that special someone … or simply to feel more exhilaratingly alive, whether you’re alone or not.

When shouldn’t I get waxed?

To be on the safe side, it’s best to wait if your skin is irritated, reddened or injured.

Is There An Age Limit For Getting Waxed?

There is not a waxing age limit or waxing age requirement. However, if you’re under the age of 18, bring a parent or guardian on your first visit as we need their consent.

What is a Modified Bikini Wax?

A bikini wax removes hair that extends outside of the panty line or crease of thigh. If you’d like your bikini wax modified, you’re in luck! With a modified bikini wax a thin strip of hair will be left down the middle of the bikini area. A Brazilian bikini wax removes all hair, including the backside.
